Well a used stove is either 220V or gas and more heat than I need. Wood is very difficult to control. Solar will not sterilize which is a 'must have'. Sometimes time is worth more than cash and I think, if it comes in under 200 bucks, this is one of those times. :D
 Anyway that is my line of thinking for what I need to get started. Always listening though.

Sterilization if high up of my concerns.  Size/capacity isn't as much.  I mostly want to knock out a few cheese boards and dip my toes in the kiln arena.  Then decide if I want to go with a larger kiln setup.  
-2x belsaw m14s and a Lane circle mill.

build a small insulated vapor/water proof box, and put a dryer element in there with all the safety thermal cutoffs at 160°F (common) and a fan and you are good to go.  Whatever size you deem needed + 20%! :)
