currently have a stihl 441 non m tronic, saw runs good and hard. have had it about 6 years and has been flawless. but recently i have been thinking about selling and buying new. these new saws with auto comp carbs kinda scare me as you cant tune them. what saws are out there now that are reliable as this ole girl with same or more power out put?

Kinda sounds like you want a 441  :^D

The 462 has more power, and less weight. Computerized carb though. I like my Mtronic saws. No issues so far.

Welcome!

I agree, from what you say the 462 would be a good choice. The non adjustable carbs are here to stay whether we like it or not, the M-tronic seems to work well and the operator spends more time cutting and less tinkering.

If you current saw works so very well , has no issues, and you are very happy with how it performs and the job it does for you - all I can say is WHY would you want something else (other than new and shiny is great, but only for a short while)?

I have a Husky 576 XP At
That has worked flawlessly for me.
Also just bought a new 572.
Another really great saw.
The new technology seems to have the bugs worked out.
I'll never go back.
These things are really really nice to run with almost no issues at all.
Don't be afraid to upgrade.
Find a good dealer near you and buy something shiny and new.
You won't regret it.
Work hard. Be rewarded.

Unless you run it full time the 441 will go strong for many years if it is in good condition and maintained.
