Valmet 544 questions

Hey guys I just bought a 1995 valmet 544x and have been running it for a few days now. Where do you fill it with hydraulic fluid and is there a way to check the hydralic fluid level?

look just above the top center pin is there a sight glass there. oil 32 if its really cold or just use 68 and let it warm up longer

Nice!  Put some pics up on the what you've been cutting thread.   Good size but for a southern boy is that aspen ?  What's the market for that?

So I found the sight glass but where would you fill it? And that's mostly basswood and ash but I've been cutting some nice oak that I'll have to post!

Take out the plug in top of the housing.

unless you take the cover off and pull the filter up it will take oil reaiiy slow
