Hi,

About 5 years ago, I cut my 1992 Woodmizer LT-40 in half and extended it in a way I could cut using stock width or up to 42'' in total width.  I had a video but sadly my Youtube channel was hacked and all my videos have been deleted.

I know my original video helped many fellow woodmizer owners get the confidence to do the same to their mill, for which I've been happy to help!

Since my video has been deleted, I've had lot's of emails come in asking about the details of the modification, so I finally did a new Youtube video followling up with the results over the long term.

Hope you enjoy the video, thanks for watching

Whoa, good to see Paul posting.  Been a long time.  I know you're trying to run two businesses, but feel free to chime in more often!  I remember when the original video came out.  Can't remember if you posted it on the forum or someone else linked it from youtube.  I think you did?  That' was pretty exciting when you did it.
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

I remember the original video as well.

Great job on the sawmill and your video skills are just as good.

We have some talented videographers here on the FF!

Also, I went and liked your facebook page.  That 2 sided jointer/planer is awesome.

Thanks for that!  I think it was me that posted it, I'll find the post and add this video.  Since Instagram / Youtube I don't post much on forums, i'm more of a forum creeper. I've learned so much here from saw milling to drying, a wealth of knowledge here.   I suggest this forum to others almost weekly.

Most everything I enjoy doing turns out to be work

This is the first stretched WM I had seen. Now there's a guy on the FB Woodmizer owner's page that stretched his out, he's a machinist. Since he did his he's did several for others, he's taking orders to do a country wide circuit bringing the blessings of a wide head to the masses😂 He did his adjustable width, so you can run standard blades unless the need to make it wide arises😊 Bolts in place.
