 Hello all,
I recently pickup up a large saw blade.  I am relatively new and am learning a lot.  Can anyone help me identify this type of insert.  And thoughts on if this was used on a saw mill.  Diameter is 56" with a 2" center hole.  Attached is a pic of the teeth.

Thanks to those who can offer some info.

The tooth looks like a B style, but I'm not that sure on the shank. Are there any number/marks near the center hole of the blade?

I'd say she sawed some lumber and was driven by the guide pins on at least one side for a bit

as  @reride82  noted  look for some stampings at the eye of the saw.
Also, polish down some of the shanks and see what they are stamped,  they do look like a B pattern.

I suggest you have a saw doctor check the blade prior to purchase,
What are you going to put it on?

I am rebuilding a gueyser mill currently was set up with a 48" blade, but thought about going to a 56 the one I'm asking about. Thanks for the info.

How many teeth are in that saw?

If it 56" with 52 teeth  - F style

It it is 56" with 46 to 48 teeth - B style.

Same bits, different shanks.

Look for excessive wear, its missing a bit and shank. Someone robbed it or it fell out.   Also look for cracks around the eye and collar line.
