Couple of confessions , ever just....forget simple stuff? I was setting up this video and saw...did a plug check. Set it back in , folks showed up, got caught up in conversation and I never tightened the spark plug. SO it ran all day like that. Was wondering by the sound if it was developing an air leak...it WAS. The plug was backing out little by little. BUT it was still a nice "brown" color when I did by hand remove it to see if it was white. Autotune adjusted I guess and the saw survived what you will see in this video.

Second , I deleted a LOT of quite impressive tractor control , a video in of itself. Folks need privacy so I always "err" to the side of caution. A hint is the Skidder operator also cut some of those roads on that hill side in. Excellent operator. :)

Last this might make the case for mechanized logging or bigger saws. When I first started working with this fellow it was all 460's and 660's. MOSTLY 660's and that was the genesis of a whole series based on trying to find ways to keep the cost of maintenance and crush damage reasonable on those OEM saws.....and then the 390's I had build him a HTSS 385 and that was a primary saw...390's followed. Did ALL his work with those big Husqvarna's , Then it became "attractive" to have a smaller lighter saw...built him a 365/372 51.4 hybrid.... he went to a 572 as well. BOTH saws are still in the operation. Then tried a 562. Stock, wasn't enough to "bump" either the 572 or 372 derivatives he has, and none have totally bumped the 385 from it's place. MOST of the tree's are hard maple large enough to justify a 24inch bar. And this time of years the sap if running making things more "interesting".

This "tweaked" 2014 562xp is a bid to be the next evolution. A pair of HTSS 562's will follow assuming the build passes the durability testing to compete with all of the saws listed above, for 2/3-3/4 the price of a "new" saw of similar capability ...:)

yes it can and does very well , I logged full time with a highly ported 562 for over 2 years solid and I mean if any saw I ever built that should of blew up that should of been the one , the piston in that saw has so much machine work down to it its crazy it never broke a ring land or shirt . Biggest problem is getting enough bar oil to run the longer bars to cut timber like white oak but found a 22 inch bar setup worked very well on that saw, Saw still sits here on the shelf and I fire it up every so often , that saw has cut alot of bigger timber and made me alot of money

Wondering if the new oil pump setup is better. Next build is on the new cases & related parts. And true, the ones I had built for folks doing this same type of operations back in 2015-16 are still out there cutting. But they weren't aggressively modded. Worked well for the folks who still have them. Just heard so much bad gas on a couple of the forums ... makes me begin to question what I actually see in my world.

The only problem I had was I broke a couple clutch.  The spring part would break
