Ms461 muffler mod

Looking for a muffler mod for my 461. Been holding off until i had gotten a tach, which i just recently got. Looking for the best way to do it without necessarily going all out and crazy. The furthest i'd go is a bark box, if there's actually any gain from them (helping the saw breathe etc etc). Read a lot of mixed things about the product. But i was wondering if just opening the baffle inside the muffler would help any? Suggestions are definitely appreciated. Would like to gather information before i possibly make a mistake in purchasing something when there's a simpler but more effective way of doing it.
