I am currently designing a sawmill (which I am documenting in another thread) and have received a lot of great advice. THing is.....I have never actually operated one. I am basing my entire design off of what I can find on the interwebs (which admittedly is quite a lot).

I think it would be incredibly valuable to actually operate a mill before pulling the trigger on building one. Is there anyone within a couple hundred miles of northeastern Utah that might be willing to do a demonstration?

I guess I should have been more clear. I would LOVE to run up to NW Idaho or into Montana but both are a little far for me. I am in the bottom northeast corner of Utah  :D (the armpit?). Hoping to find someone within two or three hours of me (SLC, Grand Junction, Co.....) If not I guess youtube will have to do until I can make a long roadtrip up north.

If you can pull it off, I'd be happy to spend some time with you on a Woodmizer.
