Hopewell Cape is at the mouth of the Peticodiac River at Shepody Bay, South of Moncton, New Brunswick

This is Hopewell Cape rock formations known as the 'Rocks of Love'. It appears as if the rocks are embraced in a kiss.

You can gain access to the rock formations by this stairway from the top of the cliff.

This is a view from the top of the cliffs at low tide. The rock formations are of calcareous sandstones whicha re easily eroded by the sea.

The atrium and play grounds at Hopewell Cape park. There are some nice trails and information on the history and ecology/geology of the area.

If your near Moncton and wish to tour some of New Brunswick's rugged coastline you can journey south along route 114 and the Peticodiac River. If you continue toward Alma and the Fundy National Park you can take route 915 , crossing the Shepody River, and visit Cape Enrage (see other thread on this), on Barn Marsh Island.

Enjoy your trip

Swamp Donkey, we visited the Hopewell Rocks in '91.  We sure do love your province.  I could easily live there and be happy.
Grandchildren, Bluegrass music, old tractors, trees and sawmills.  It don't get no better'n that!
