KiwiCharlie

G'day Charlie,

Thanks for the exposure!!  NZ has a proud heritage with wood-chopping. Jason Wynyard is doing so well at the moment, as he has been for a few years now.  He features heavily on the Stihl Timbersports a lot.  His father was a champion chopper.  The surprise ommission from there was the son of the legendary chopper Sonny Bolstad, David Bolstad, but he was on the Lucas Sawmills site at the Fieldays here last week (they are a sponsor for him in the Stihl Timbersports) flying the flag, so I guess he missed it.  He and Jason often swap the lead at the meets they attend.
During the summer here, most of local areas of NZ have what we call A&P shows, and the chopping is always there, and supported massively.  We may be a small country, but if you look, there a small group of Kiwis doing great things out there in the world.  The problem is that we are so small, they have to go offshore to acheive greatness.
Thanks again Charlie for posting that.
Cheers
Charlie.
