Here is a different thought for you.

Design a pole barn large enough to house your mill and air dry lumber under. Harvest enough logs to build the barn and hire a mobile miller to come in and mill the lumber.

Build the barn.

Now you have a place to put your mill, tractor and air dry your house lumber under.

Check to see if there is good cellular coverage on your property. If so, you can set up some motion activated cameras that will notify you and send you a pic if someone is on your land. Keep the local Sherrif's office phone number available in your phone.

Hydraulics are your friend when it comes to a mill. Also, farm tractors are ok but a skid steer or compact track loader >80 hp would be my first choice. Much easier log and material handling, more lifting power and better operator visibility. A grapple rake is great for handling logs, and pallet forks for handling lumber. Round it out with a 4 in one bucket and you'll be set.
