Hi, i was looking at the procut sawmill plans to build my own chainsaw mill. Probleme is that Procut looks like out of buisness. No one returns calls or email. If someone would like to sell me thier plans, i'm interested.

Thanks

So what dimensions  of a chainsaw mill are you pondering? Not sure of what a pro cut looks like.

Procuts were set up with a track, like a small bandmill but it had a chainsaw saw head iirc

I went and looked at the link thank you.  I think unless your ambitions are wide slabs or just a little here and there construction lumber you would be better off with a smaller band mill. At least my experience was. Yours may vary, good luck with your journey. I do have a chainsaw mill I would part with with a donation to the forum.  ffsmiley

I think Procut is the guy in Prince George, B.C..  I looked at his plans about 20 years ago.  The procut is much like a Woodbug mill.  A guy I know used a Woodbug to mill all of his lumber to build a house and shop.  At the end of it he gave the Woodbug away and never wanted to see one ever again.  I decided that a Granberg met my needs for live edge and I traded my logs for lumber at a local mill.  One thing about the Woodbug and I think the Procut is the same;  as long as you keep the track segments lined up and true, you can cut very long logs.  I know a log home builder who rigged one for ridgelogs etc. and he permanently set up 60 feet of track.
