Land/life in Montana

Rural land/property values and taxes have skyrocketed everywhere, whether you can see a mountain or not. This mouse and computer screen we're all using (instant information) has allowed the mass exodus from the urban areas to (in their minds) fulfill their rural lifestyle dreams. I've lived here all my life, and have seen more change in the last 3 years than I did in the previous 30. I just don't know where all the $$$ is coming from.

Here in eastern New York state rural property value has quadrupled all the way to the Canada border. That is quite a hike from Long Island but they do it. I never thought in my life time it would go that far.
