Hi everyone,

I know this is a shot in the dark but I really need help with getting our 1993 pendu 6800 scragg going but the problem is we need the computer program. The scragg sat for a long time and lost its memory and pendu does not support that old programming anymore. If anyone knows a company that still runs a old pendu scragg or has any knowledge of this that would be so helpful.

Thank you

I forgot to add the the old programmable controller is a square d sy/max model 50

No help here but it is hard to understand why Pendu will not help. The normal problem with older sawmill machinery is that the maker is no longer around.

Change of mgmt.  Pendu started out as E Z Mfg back in the late '70s.  It was sold in about 1995.  At some point, it gets to be too expensive to maintain old equipment. especially the old digital stuff.  Its like trying to find old Diston shanks and bits.

I worked in the chemical industry for decades.  Manufacturers usually quit supporting those type controllers after about 20 years. In 2012 we had some 20 yr old control systems that we could no longer get parts from the manufacturer. We were buying used parts off eBay. For programming, your best bet is to find some old timer that used to work on that system. See if the manufacturer will put you in touch with a retiree that used to work on that controller. Newer systems usually have different software languages and younger employees probably have not worked on the old software.
