I recently bought an Allis Chalmers HD 3 that had the Allis Chalmers 400 winch on it. The controls are missing and I was wondering if anyone had experience these winches and or knows where I could find parts. Thank you

I had one of those years ago, with the same problem. Dad and I ended up using two early 60's chevy master cylinders,( single tube style) one with just a homemade lever to apply the  clutch, the other with a old ratchet style emergency brake lever off an old truck to lock the brake in place to drag the load. The factory pieces weren't available back in the early seventies.
The model 400 pulls pretty well for a small winch, but the brake and clutch drums rust up really easy if you dont use it really often

The master cylinder from a 1963 Chevy 1/2 truck will work.  Seen it here locally and works perfect!  ~ OrangeIndustrial!

Hydraulic handbrakes from ebay can be gotten cheap. They even exist two on a plate, side by side.  ;D
