Does anyone have any information on a jack like this.  I haven't been able to examine it closely yet, but I don't see any obvious maker or model info.  It has a serial number on it that says G5292.  I would assume it is around 100 years old.  It is about 4' long.  I got it with the group of power tools that I bought yesterday.

Walker Roll-A-Car from the 1930's looks like it. (At least that's what a quick Google of the interwebbers shows). ;D

Kinda strange it had no markings on it.  Companies loved to put their names and patent numbers on everything years ago.

Just saw $350 and $450 prices on ebay for it.

I havent had a lot of time to look the thing over well to look for other markings.  I got it yesterday and had to come to work this morning and won't be home til Tuesday.  It's a little dirty, so there may be more labels on it somewhere.  It does seem to be pretty collectible.

i was given an old anvil a few years back.  it seemed to have writing on it, but i could not make it out.  i took several picture on my phone and could read "American" much easier on the phone.  I have had the same experience with old aluminum tags on tools or equipment.  can barely see anything, but in a photo on my phone I can make out the letters and numbers.  the American anvils were made until 1912 and this thing weighs 165 pounds.  It was my neighbors Dads and he did not like moving it around his garage.

I would clean it good, and wipe it down with mineral spirits to look for any traces of paint or writing on the frame.
