I have an LT28 with manual winch and thinking about adding an electric one to replace the hand crank. Wondering if those who have done this can suggest a good winch to buy.

There is a guy that has a youtube channel (Fall line ridge) that has an LT15 and he use a cordless drill motor in place if the hand crank handle and it seems to pretty good.

BUT, i would think any atv winch in the 2500 lbs or greater should work.

I replaced the manual winch on my mill with a 3500 lb Badlands winch from Harbor Freight. I've used it a lot for 2 years now with no issues. Whatever you use make sure it has a built in brake. You will also want to control it with a PWM drive so you can control the speed.
Change is hard....
Especially when a jar full of it falls off the top shelf and hits your head!

I have used a 2500 lb pull Superwinch for about 18 years and have had to change only the cable (2 or 3 times) and the brush end cap 2 years ago. I don't think they make that model anymore but I would buy superwicnch again.

I can vouch for the 3500 # china freight winch as well. Assuming you're just using it for log turning with it you won't need speed control.
