 How time has passed, and the amount of technological progress in the last 150 years is mind boggling!
 
 Ponsse had a story featuring an operator named Emil Jelinek out of Black River Falls, Wisconsin. He just passed away in the last couple of years, nearly 100 years old if memory serves. He started logging when he came back from WWII, and up until his mud 90's was still out in the woods 6 days a week running his Ponsse forwarder. Can you imagine going from cutting wood daily with a whip saw and horses to feed your family, up to the present with cut to length equipment and trucks that can haul 14 cords right off the landing?
