It feels good to have some decent weather to make progress on the wife's garden shed.  The timbers for this were milled way back when I still had the manual Woodland mill.  Now with the LT35, timbers were trued up and the siding was cut.

White ash timbers with sugar maple siding.  My goal has been for there to be no wood seen that has not come off the mill.  The vinyl windows are a compromise in convenience for the wife.  Polycarbonate roof.  She wants it to be a potting shed/greenhouse.

The ash stacked up inside will be flooring, but I need to get this dried before putting it down.  My neighbor in NH has a solar kiln, so maybe I can get him to dry the flooring boards before installation.

I have a choice for the doors: White pine, or black birch.  I'm not inclined to use ash or maple hardwood due to weight.  I've never worked with black birch, but I had a nice straight log that Gave me enough for two doors.

Thoughts on the black birch?

Great looking she shed! You both should be thrilled. I agree with Ray, whatever she likes smiley_divide
Opportunity is missed by most because it shows up wearing bib overalls and looks like work.

I made one of those for my wife.
All wood came from The C Farm.
