Looks like you have a bunch of them. I predict an FF fish fry in the future at this rate. ffcheesy

The light and bugs reminded me of my buddy on Lake Blackshear in Cordele Ga. Down there when they built their docks the owners often put in 4' Fluorescent lights a foot or so above the water as bug attractors. When they wanted to fish they would turn the lights on an hour or so ahead of time, the bugs came to the lights and fell in and the minnows and bait fish came and ate them and then the crappie and bass came and the people would go catch them. Some people even had lights on long poles and would anchor their boats, turn on the 12V lights and attract the fish.

I wonder if that would work with your bullheads.

That also reminds me of a study I saw where people were fish farming sea bream, an expensive fish in the market, and would ring a bell every time they fed them. They did that in captivity till they reached a certain size, took them out into the ocean and put them in a big enclosure and fed them with the bell ringing daily. Finally they opened the enclosure and let them go forage on their own but fed and called them daily. They did that for many months till the fish reached market size then they fed and called them and shut the doors on the enclosure and harvested them. They were basically feeding them a small amount and they actually grew up on what they foraged in the ocean. What amazed me was they estimated they had something like a 95% recovery rate. I'd have thought the predation on the ocean would have gotten way more than 5%.

I'm pretty sure these fish know the sound of the moutrie feeder at 4pm and can also tell time. If you go down there at any other time, and throw a handful in, it takes them awhile to appear. If you go at 4, and wait for the feeder, they are there already.

Ive been considering a bug zapper to hang up.

I wanted to buy a bug zapper and hang it in the living room but my wife said it had to go outside.

I told her "The bugs outside aren't bothering me. Its the ones inside the house I want to get rid of."

There just ain't no reasoning with them wimmin!
