Personally, I would like to cut whatever DanG will haul.

If he wants 2" stock, then more logs, if he wants 1" then less......

Tom always expects to be entertained and I don't want to disappoint him by cutting a few boards and shutting down.

BTW, project 1, Tom's official bench !!

DanG, are you cutting for keeps or to sell at the show....

DanG

I'm cutting to sell, period.  Selling at the show would be nice, so I don't have to haul it.

I got my thoughts on this "Marketing at Moultrie" thing, for the lumber and the mills.  These folks are farmers.  They're gonna want to see 2x4 and 2x6 lumber from the sort of trees they have.  I'll bring a variety of sizes, but most will be in the 10 and 12 foot range.  I got some nice fat ones, but will bring some skinny ones, too.  They'll like seeing what they could get from a 12-14" log, cause that's what most of them will be seeing.

Last year we used 6-7 logs per day.  There were 2 mills, but only one at a time was running.  I'm thinkin' 18-20 logs, considerin' that some of them will be smallish. ???
