Clutch slipping fix//

Hi All:
One of the majer problems with the B$S 23 hp on the Norwood LM2000 was clutch slipping// The cause of this was the 23 hp motor not reaching the 3600 rpm required to ingage the clutch fully --Robert from W MI provided a simple fix for this by first moving the gov. spring over to the rt hand slot  as shown and then putting a # 6d nail ground on 2 sides and cut off about 3/4 " long in behind the spring. this upped the no load rpm to about 3900 and the load rpm (om mine) to about 3610/// no slipping noted in a 18" cut at 22 fpm cut.   JP
