I am looking for plans/drawings or something for attaching a post hole driller to a plate on my skidloader.   How strong/thick should the back plate be.  I have a post hole driller that attaches to a Hydrabed which is a hydraulic bale feeding flat bed on a pickup.  I want to attach the phd to a skidloader attachment.  Any and all ideas welcome.

You can buy a blank plate at the Bobcat dealer, that is where I bought one. I built a grapple with the plate. I have not posted pics yet becouse I am still working out a few wrinkles.
I think that plate was $70.00

Thanks moosehunter, I'm certain that I'd spend that in time and materials.

You might want to consider welding a smaller plate, maybe a foot square onto the plate you buy.

A PHD can put a lot of stress on the welds that hold the mount, which is relatively small, but thick material.

If you double it up you can crank up the welder and really stick in place.  ;)

Search around on E-bay for a Lowe or similar auger attachment to see how it is put together. My auger can go up to 36", and is a lot heavier on the frame then just an attachment plate. If you want, I can shoot a few close ups of it tomorrow afternoon for you.
