We finally got the roof on our timber frame that went up Feb 11th.  We used a galvalum multirib with exposed skip sheathing on the eaves and rafter tails.  It was clear SYP 1x4's.  More info and updated pictures ar at boothemountain.blogspot.com.

Hi Joel, I'm planning to put a metal roof on my cabin, probably standing seam, and I'm a little uncertain about the best way to build it and if I should use a vapor barrier.  Do you have a cross sectional drawing or sketch of your roof that you'd be willing to share with me?
Thanks,
Quinton
