If they went back-to-back they could take a full length log   :)

Todd

Gee...now I don't feel so bad!  Still, I think I need to get a bigger truck or tell the loader at the woodlot to stop earlier.

Funny...before I started hauling logs I thought I HAD a big truck ;D

What size truck is that Todd?

Todd

F-250 HD.....maybe the truck isn't too small, my new trailer is just too big.  (or maybe 9 logs that averaged 28"dia is just a little much?  ::))

I just love a good Bowtie / Blue Oval debate :D :D :D :D
Why not just 1 pain free day?

Burlkraft

Lookin' at the picture again maybe all ya need is a set of airbags like woodsteach got ;) ;) ;)

A set of timbrens in the rear would help. I use them for front of mine to help carry weight of plow.

Todd

Some air bags would help, but only the sagging.  The thing is geared wrong for that kind of weight...it'll get the load moving and then its a crawl for 1/2 mile.  But, if you're not breaking somthing you're not working hard enough. ;D

I was thinking a ram and a cummins emblem ;)
Too many irons in the fire

Todd

If you guys are offering a truck I'll accept!  I bought the truck because it has no power windows or locks, no carpet, just plastic, a crew cab and was *DanG cheap.  The blue oval just happened to be there.

You guys are all barking up the wrong tree.

One word - UNIMOG.   ;D

Reddog

That'll take more than a half mile to get up to hiway speed. ;D

The Blue  oval makes it  affordable but doesnt make it the power house that some other brands have.   I had a  550 for a spell  and after 3 clutches  i went to a dodge auto. I now own 2 dodge diesels his( auto) and hers( standard) errr well the bank lets me use monthly. The dodge hung up an auto  partly manufacture, mostly abuse. After the rebuild its  more fun to drive than ever. I have never had a pickup with that much power on the low end and it keeps building right up to the point of  wow better slow down  .

I have a 99 F450 that I have had grossed up to 27,000, with an Allison and Turbo.  I have never had a problem for power to carry or pull. 8) 8) 8)

The 550 in my mind was still a pickup truck but the state saw it  has a Truck and charge like mad for Plates as well as insurance.
I  pulled a 32 foot livestook trailer hauling bulls.
and cow calf pairs.   I have scaled 32,000 with either truck and trailer. I think thats what killed the Auto. LOL
