I have found a 2004 LT 40 super hydraulic diesel with 900 hrs  it has been in the weather but is supposed to be in good condition . So the question is what would be a good price more or less for a mill of that make and model ?I know it's hard to say without looking at it but I'm wanting a general idea where to start negotiations .   Thanks

When I was looking there was a 97 lt40 super hyd 40 hp diesel in MO for $13900 that was sitting out in the weather. It was on WM's for sale board. PC
life is too short to be too serious. (some idiot)
2013 LT40SHE25 and Riehl edger,  WM 94 LT40 hd E15. Cut my sawing ''teeth'' on an EZ Boardwalk
sawing oak.hickory,ERC,walnut and almost anything else that shows up.
Don't get phylosophical with me. you will loose me for sure.

woodmizer has what they call an "orange" book, drop our member "Mooney" a PM, i'm sure he'd be very ahppy to help you out.

Sounds like mine, it's 2001.  What's it got on it....Accuset2, front remote, debarker, lubemizer, fine adjust jacks etc?    And what diesel?

From what I have seen, Woodmizer's values on used mills tend to be on the conservative side. They can rough value a mill, but I suspect well maintained mills probably bring a bit more than the orange book, especially if the seller isn't fire saling it in a hurry.

Thats all the info I have right now I was wanting to get a idea of a price range before i call him today . I will have to check out that orange book. i will find out more today he lives close .
