Just picked up a new used saw today, a Husky 394xp, upgraded from a 288xp, they guys I cut with all use 365's and smaller, man their not going to be happy, I could outcut them 2:1 before, now we'll see what this 394xp can do!!!!  ;D ;D ;D

You might out cut them at first but after a weeks cutting you won't be able to work..................cause your arms will be that long you'll be walking on your hands instead of your feet.  :D
When the need arises for us to get our 394 (28") out of the lock-up for the big ones we usually work in pairs. One will fell whist the other wedges, etc. then when on the ground the wedger goes ahead and cleans the tree whilst the feller follows knocking off the sawlogs. After a couple hours we swap roles. It works really well as each of our work loads are shared and you don't get knackered too quick with the heavy saw. Its great until you have to lift it out if the cut......... i think they should make wheels for them............ oh yeah they did- harvesters ! ;D

All jokes aside, good luck with the saw. Its an animal that knows no boundarys. ;)

Thanks man, I m not worried about the wieght though, since I never really cut for any longer then 3-4hrs max.  And Im used to hauling around my other saw which is a 288xp, not much wieght diff.  I love the bigger saws though, totally different sound to them, I just love it running wide open going through a 40" round. ;D ;D ;D  My 288 has a ported muffler and it sounds awesome, actually better than the stock 394 muffler, but thats about to change!!!!! :o
