Hi everyone,

I currently use a Makita 12 1/4" hand planer to plane large porch post and beams I cut on my sawmill.(10x10, 8x8, 12x12,etc...)  I've just cut 128 beams to be used for a timber frame house that has to be planed.  I'm looking for an easier way to plane these beside using the Makita planer.  I found this websit for a Hunter power feed hand planer.  Has anyone tried this planer and if so, is it easier on the back than the Makita?

                                                                                                                      Thanks,  Cypress Man

If you're talking about the Hunter from NH, I've seen this planer up close and personal at a logging equipment show. He was walking around with it and a generator demonstrating it on fresh saw timbers 12" wide. It was very impressive....
I don't personally own one, but I almost bought one...
