I have a load of spruce in my log yard. The owner does not know if he wants me to cut it or buy it. I have given a price to cut it but I am looking for a current price in upstate NY for log prices for spruce to use as a guide as to what I would off to pay. There are 18 log for an international 1/4" scale of 1782bf, all but 2 are good size meaning 12" or above with 5 at or above 15". Has anyone in central NY bought or sold spruce logs recently? Mill prices

OK, I will broaden the parameters. If anyone has bought, sold or been quotes spruce prices in the northeast US since 5/1/07 please chime in. If you have numbers please state location and date or approx date. These are for mill prices please, sawlogs.

This is the best I can do for you. I haven't bought any pine since last summer.

I got 250/thou straight through but that was last november.

$200-$350 per mfbm depending on size/length and quality - NB and Maine. A lot of our mills near the border towns use 'Bangor Rule'.

veneer $400-700 per mfbm, 14" top, 16'6-" and up - Maine
