Texas Ranger

The man said it hadn't happened if there is no picture.  So, here is Dan in my rest room, said that it was the first restroom that he'll have memories of.  Don't know what he meant about that, I had the new fu-fu water goin.

Taken with my cell phone, need to do better.  Anyway, Dan and a partner were here looking at some land, took my wife (Mrs. Texas Ranger) Sue and I to dinner and then showed them the office.  Talked forestry and other stuff of importance.

That Mrs. Texas Ranger, Miss Sue as we would call her in the South, is an artist and decorator beyond compare.  That cross-eyed, bow-legged, weavil ridden, pruned up, wanna be Texan from Missouri's office is a veritable forestry museum (By-the-way-that-describes-theTexasRanger-as-well :D).  After being plied by fine Canadian spirits, I had to use the little boy's room.  I had never seen such a place.  From the antique Smokey the Bear posters to the deer antler theme of the decor, I realized that a higher power was at play.  So, when I returned to the main festivities, I inquired, "Who is the decorator?.  Shyly, she replied, "I am".  At that instant in time I knew that she was being perfectly honest because I knew that a cross-eyed, bow-legged, weavil ridden, pruned up, wanna be Texan from Missouri could not possibly have that good a taste.  As I was admiring the wonderful allure of the "salle be bain", I got photographed ;D.

I stomped the bottomlands of East Texas today.  First thing in the morning I had coffee with Tcsmpsi (found out what his Forum name means, I'm not tellin'!!).  Had a tour of his place (post and pics to come after I can download come pics), went to stomp the woods (really, to look at all the trees instead of paying attention to what I was supposed to be paying attention too.............), then had a memorable Cajun dinner with Texas and Mrs. Texas Ranger.  One of those fine days that you will always remember.

Saw several thickets of mock orange (who knows what this is??????????), and more shumard oak than you could shake a stick at (what!!!!!!!!forget and left the camera at the DanG truck?????????  Compromising a potential post on "Identifying Shumard Oak" :().

It is nice to visit Texas, but i would not want to live here (I hear the BBQ is sub-standard compared to Georgia)...........just kidding.  All you Texans just chill back out :).

Jeff

WDH, I think you may be trangers first Forestry Forum member. No wonder, seeing as how we now know he lurks around outside of the bathroom with a camera... ;)

Maybe sometime I'll get a chance to go visit, but they'll have to guard those posters. :)
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.
