Recently I took a trip to North Carolina and had a chance to view some spline joints.

Disclaimer: All spline joints must/should be designed for the intended load by a qualified engineer.

Those pendant-posts are quite something. I've never seen as many pegs in one spline end, and certainly never as many in one cluster.
