Howdy!

Anyone have a contact with a portable mill to rent or hire anywhere near Bozeman, MT?  Nobody seems to  be willing to travel that I've talked to.

Take 'er easy.

Hey Bronco,

Welcome to the Forum. I've got a friend in Bozeman. Whatcha got that needs cutting. Give me a reason to come visit my friend with my WoodMizer in tow. I've got some other stuff I could do up that way too.  :)

Could you get here in the next two weeks?  I'd guarantee at least a full day of work, maybe more.  I have approximately 50 timbers (4 x 10's, 12 x 12's and a couple 12 x 16's) plus all of my window and door bucks (maybe 200' of 2"x8").  I have a place that would cut my timbers locally but I'd have to haul the logs down to the mill and back which would be terribly time consuming.  I'd prefer to have it done on site.

Let me know if you're interested.

Ummmm ...Bronco?

I'd need at least "two" full days of work to make it worth my trip.  :-\  ;) Nah seriously, if you had like 50 -100,000 feet I'd make the trip with the mill. I'm about 1500-2000 miles away. But, try the directory that Dan suggested. If that doesn't help holler. I know another guy out there that just bought a mill a couple months ago and builds log cabins for Yellowstone. He'd probably hook you up. I've got his number in my e-mail somewhere. let me know if you need the number.
