I would like to trim out a pole barn with rough sawn lumber, but don't know where to buy it . I have not seen any at the local retailers. I was wondering what type business would sell rough lumber? Thanks for any thoughts on this.-Ron

Most that I know of don't sell rough lumber.  Your best best might be to locate someone with a portable sawmill in your area.  I bet you can get the rough lumber you need from one of them.  In fact, someone on this Forum might have some.

On our front door, we have a "find a forester/sawmill" link.   There is one listed for Prescott that may help you.  Here's the link:  https://forestryforum.com/cgi-bin/database/webdata_forum.pl

That's the only one in Arizona.

Option #2 is to go to your local forestry department and see if you can get a list of local sawmills.  I know that in certain areas there are limited amounts of sawmills.  But, these guys can point you in the right direction.

Option #3 is to get in contact with a sawmill builder like those in the left hand column.  They will gladly put you in contact with someone in your state that is running one of their mills.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

not sure where you are in Arizona. I know a few years back there was a mill working on I-17 about 20 miles south of Flagstaff. It was on the east side of the hwy on a ranch. I know he/she was building a nice log home to compliment their AWSOME 3 story log barn. If it's close to you mite be worth a looksie. ;D
I never met a tree I didn't like!!
