This is the first year it has been busy after the 4th of July. I don't know why but I am low on pine boards much too early and will be out long before the fall rush that gets longer each year.  I have to become a lumber dealer [middle man] or get out. I have made a deal with a mill up near camp that saws the same, circle cut, as me. I don't want band resawn stuff because my customers expect the usual circle cut both sides. My prices must go up and I hate to disappoint my long time customers. Also guess who has to transport the stuff home ... at night no less. Having a load brought down [with out a back haul] costs as much as the wood.

It's hard to raise prices but the fact is you'll do your customers a disservice NOT to. Underpricing confuses the market and makes it harder for those who do have a good business plan that's consistent with the market and staying in business... of course there's a balance.
Woodmizer LT40 wide remote (on order)
WM MP360
Kubota L47 TLB
Mini forklift
Lots of trailers and a big diesel to tow them
Laguna resaw/power feed
Various small machinery, 40hp RPC, 20hp RPC, and so on...
