Night Raider

Hello All,
I'm new to the forum, I've been lurking in the shadows for a few weeks but now I'm stepping out.
I'm considering buying my first mill for a combination of personal use and some custom cutting, nothing full time (yet).  I'm in southern ontario so cedar and hardwood (cherry and maple) would be the most common lumber being sawn.  I'm looking for an opinion on a used mill for sale, it's a Clarke purchased in 1994 with a briggs 18hp twin and electric winch to raise and lower the head.  I'm told there is no model number on it but it will cut logs just over 18' and "over 2 feet in diameter".  No hour meter but I'mtold it's pretty low hours, just personal use.  On a trailer axel and no loading ramps.
Any info as to the model, reputation of clarke or anything else you can think of would be appreciated.

thanks

Welcome to the forest .
I don't know anything about a clark but a briggs seems to be a good motor.

Don't know about the clark mill, but I can tell you about the 18 hp briggs. I just pulled one off my mill after 6700 hrs.  Still runs good, just a little tired.
