GOING TO JAIL THIS WEEKEND

      I'm going to jail this weekend!!!! No they didn't finally catch me,we do two Christian mimistery weekends a year in the local prison,and this is the spring one.We start Thrs. afternoon through Sunday evening.This will be the seventh one that I've helped on,an I wouldn't miss it for anything.Most of those guys have never had anyone do one nice thing for them,and this weekend just overwhelms them.It's kinda hard to believe sometimes,but there is a strong Christian community in this prison.
   Oh well, if you guys don't hear from me by Sun. night,you will know I didn't get out.Dont think it will be a problem once they find out how much I eat,and how little I work.

We get ministers here too.  Had some week before last handing out WatchTowers.

Usually the missionaries introduce themselves with " we're here to bring (God, the lord, our saviour, The Bible, the word or some other subject)  to those who live too far from civilization to know about or attend a church."

I guess they missed the one down the road. :D

   It's an international nodenominational organization(thats too many big words at one time) known as Kairos. We provide homecooked meals and snacks for those who participate,plus every resident and staff member at the facility gets a dozen homemade cookies.It takes 2000 dozen cookies to do this one weekend! A lot of the guys say they come just for the food,but end up getting something much more valuable

That's neat, I volenteer my time to fix up the equipment and maintain the generator at a Christian bible camp on the Yukon river every summer.  I know I would't miss that for the word either.

   Well they let me out one more time ;D ;D ;DWonderful weekend,some good news,some bad news,Goooooood food shoot no smoked suckers good time had by all. Oh well tomorrow its real prison---GP
