Have a request to send 16# of lumber in 2 1/2' lengths to England.  Is there an economical way to do this?  What is the best way?
I am in the pink when sawing cedar.

We have found that the USPS is about the cheapest of the big delivery companies for overseas shipping. You can do the shipping label on-line and even schedule the mail man to come pick it up on his next delivery.

There's no more boat shipping 4 - 6 weeks anymore - It's all air now & is quite $$$$$$$

We ship a lot overseas...latest was a 7 pound box to Denmark.  Went USPS priority mail...only $40.47...Express was something like 20 bucks more.  USPS seems to be about the only economical? choice for us.

Make sure you get payment in US Dollars before the friendly mail person sends your box off.

Another thing to be careful of if sending wood or 'natural products' overseas is that the recipient may need to pay customs duty to have them irradiated or otherwise treated upon entry.

I'm not sure about sending stuff to the UK, but I know with AUS it's quite exxy to get stuff out of quarantine.

Mind you it's always worth it for FF parcels!!!  :)
