Well, I didn't see any catagory for 'welcomes' or new guy introductions, so there either isn't one or new guys ain't welcome!

New to this board but not to logging and sawmills; Worked as a contract welder in a mill in New Hampshire until I moved out here to Michigan. Built my own chainsaw mill with the intention of eventually converting it to a bandmill when time and money allow. Built my own splitter as well with a 50HP motor and 54" stroke for splitting 4 foot bolts. Now, besides running a portable welding business, I mess around the 40 acres of woods I bought into here in K'zoo.

This looks like a real good board with a lot of good and knowledgable people. Hope I can fit in here!

I'm sure you will fit in just fine around here.  You can walk into any door and say "Hello."  ;)

Welcome to the forum. :)
I do what the little voices in my wife's head tell me to do.

Yep, sure welcome around here.  I guess we don't have a special welcome place.  The whole forum is a welcome place.  Come on over here and have a seat. ;D

Yeah, you're right about opinions, and I have one about grits... I tried 'em ONCE. Wallpaper paste has more flavor! Now a good strong cuppa coffee that the spoon will stand up in is another story!

You and I have similar tastes, chaikwa.  I like my coffee hot and black and strong and I don't care much for grits. Welcome!
