My dad gave me a Poulan 1800 that he had broken the rope on and it was probably headed to the trash.  (He doesn't care to mess with tools nearly as much as I do).  Maybe all it needs is the rope replaced, or maybe it was having trouble which caused him to pull too hard/far on the rope.  Anyway, I am wondering what the saw is. cc's and if they are worth anything.  I have other larger chainsaws but nothing this small.

It says 30 cc's  on the case but that is only a 10 inch bar on the thing?

Specs are here:

Sorry I don't know how to make it a link, just copy and paste to go there. I have a couple of these in the collection, they were also badged as Craftsman models as well. A 16" bar is as big as this saw will take.
Most common problem is the fuel line goes brittle and cracks away just as it comes out of the tank at the back, or as it goes through the handle. Replace with yellow TYGON line, but it is real small diameter so it may be hard to find.
Before you do anything pull the muffler and be sure the piston is not scored. This saw is not a very long life runner. They are made cheap to sell cheap, but if taken care of, used with good oil, and not used to cut dusty or dirty wood, since the air filter is almost useless, they can be a good little saw for occasional use.

Bummer.  Pretty badly scored piston and ring.  Headed to the round file I guess.

Thanks Sawcollector for the info.

If that 1800 has nice plastic and other parts sale it to me or ebay it. Parts are parts to me.

I have a soft spot for poulan top handles like 1800 30cc and 2000 33cc and still trying to find just the right 2300 38cc one to add to the collection.

Cut4fun it is actually in good shape, too bad the piston is fried.  If it is worth anything to you just let me know and I could ship it to you.  I like chainsaws but I don't collect them so it isn't worth much to me.

I have another old saw that I do like and would like to repair, do you have piston for 3.7 cu in Roper based craftsman chainsaw?  The one that had the compression release button?  I liked that chainsaw and would like to get her running right again.
