Talked to a fellow that drives chip truck for them and he said they were given 60 day notice. Anyone else hear about this?

Thanks tlooney

Unheard-of.  Weyerhauser has never done anything like that before.   ::)

Be greatful they gave 60 days notice. Here, it would be known when you arrived at the gate with a load of wood and be told to go home, your job is gone.

Here the woods slaves and the truckers feel the hit first...

One mill recently re opened after a shut down,  the boys were happy with their first loads rolling in in over a month, the ones who still had the trucks the bank didnt want found themselves going down the road and who should be waiting on the main route to the mill but the weighers, one fella I knew coughed up $500.00 for one load they caught him with.

nothing like rubbing  a little salt in the wound...

The management got paid during the shutdown, the union workers went on unemployment  insurance, truckers and woods gang ... well too bad  boys....
