  This is a story on a local sawmill about 30 miles from me.  Times are hard in the Ozarks right now.

Good article, times are tough all right. I was surprised to hear that one in six manufacturing jobs in Arkansas are in mills. Hang in there . Joe

  There are not many other jobs if you are not working timber.  Here it is timber or boats. (RANGER Boats, Chapion Boats ect)  Most of our state is covered in timber.  There is some cotton and beans but for the most part we are timber.  Unemployment is  over 11% in our county right now.
