Back when I got seriously dedicated to goin loggin at the young cocky age of 18 I went to the nearest Stihl dealership and bought me a Stihl 044, that saw lasted me through the depths of hell and back and is now on it's 6th rebuild and ready for retirement....
So, what does anyone think of this new 441 saw???

I've had one for about 6 months and absolutely love it. The power is great, the vibration is much less and the fuel economy is great. So far, so good. Tonto.

I am very happy with my MS441.  Tonto speaks truth.

I've had mine for 2 months. Gets used every day, not a problem of any kind. They have a fancy new carburetor that's supposed to give better fuel economy, and it sure seems to.

Ok, thanks for the response you guys, I trust you all put the saws through professional applications!! I usually push a 6 day week at 8 to 12 hour days and need something that will keep up to it. Sounds like it's a worthy replacement for my poor dear 044 it served me ever so well!!

I buy 52' logs for my sawmill business and buck a few every day. Since my main business is making timbers, my chainsaw probably doesn't get the same workout yours does ;D.

On the other hand, if the chainsaw don't run, then I'm shut down until it's fixed. I looked long and hard at what was out there before I bought the MS441.

I'll start by saying that I have no experience with the MS441. However, I've also been thinking of upgrading fom my 044's. You might take a look at the MS460's, according to the specs, it's the same weight and more powerful. I think that's the direction I'm going eventually.     :) TT

I don't know about your neck of the woods, but when I bought my MS441 a couple of months ago, Stihl had a $200 rebate for "selected products". The 441 was one of the ones "selected", while the 460 was not. That certainly affected my decision ;D.
