sthil 660 wont start

i have a sthil 660 and it wont start...i was carrying it upside down ur a while why idk.....but anyways i have spark and tons of compression and its getting gas...but i took the plug and carbiurator off and the cylinder is full of gas think it is possible thats its flooded out that bad?

Turn saw off, pull plug and crank repeatedly. Leave plug out overnight, in the morning install new plug and try again. I assume that you know the proper starting procedure from the saws in your sig. line. Good luck and let us know.

I'm trying to picture this but some how I can't comprehend what would cause anyone to carry a saw upside down to begin with,let alone at an idle . ???

Hello my friend justintin I have read your problem with 660 ms Stihl chainsaw. My friend I used to run into situation before, but with help of this forum and good people in this forum I have learned something. Here are few steps I would to share them with you. Just follow and might come with a surprise.

Remove the spark plug and try to crank. If there is spark these indications you are getting spark no problem with the coil.

Next step pour some few drops of gas inside the cylinder chamber then insert the plug and tight and try to crank few times, if you hear a sound that start and stop that mean check the carburetor side. Check all the implus hoses, open the carburetor and check if if it clean and have place the diaphragm correctly.
Put the carburetor assembly together and start again and if did not start try to pour some gas mixed with oil.

ill let you later i took the carb and plug out and let it sit so maybe it would evaporate hopefully it will fire up...

it runs now i took the carb and plug out the other day and seen the cylinder aws full of gas so i set it upside down for a day...put it back together fresh gas fired right up in first pull 8)
