I drove down to Oxford NY. and picked up my new TURNER MILLS 36"  yesterday.
It was quite a drive. About 600 mills round trip. Left home at midnihgt and got home 4:30 pm.
I haven't decided witch engine i'm going to use on it yet. Got an 18 hp kohler and  a 40 hp diesel.  When i get it working i'll post some pictures.

This'll be exciting!   I vie for more horses, but then, I'd put 500 hp on a skillsaw if I could. :)

Looking forward to your pictures and how the saw performs.

If it can handle the wieght go with the 40hp diesel, a 18 gas will be slow sawing in wide boards, Kohler's 34hp gas has good power too.   Steve

The mill i bought is a Turnner. A  guy named Bill Turnner builds them in Oxford NY. He has been building the for quit a few years.  They have tires and rims instead of steel band wheels. Check out turnnermills.com on the net.
I bought his manual trailer mill, 36 inch diameter cut, 17 ft. log. I am going to automate it little by litltle as i go. I am going to start off driving  it with a 45hp diesel engine, hydrostatically, about 20ft of to the side of the mill.
