I need to cut about 500--.75x1.25x50" stickers for a guy to go along with an upcomming order.  I will be cutting them out of some low quality logs I own.  I plan to cut them ahead of the lumber order to give them a little time to dry.

What is a fair price to charge for a sticker this size??

Even though they are low grade logs, there is more work involved in small pieces like that. don't be afraid to charge $1.5/bf for the stickers, even more if you can get away with it.

I cut all my stickers 1x1x48.....I charge $1 ea. Even at that I make more money sawing lumber.

As a side bar to this post, I'm looking into buying fluted stickers (spiral cut) and selling these to customers and using them myself. They greatly reduce sticker shadow. I was talking with a guy that has been in the hardwood lumber buisness 20 years and he says fluted sticks are the best thing that has ever happened in the industry. I had seen them advertised but never gave 'em much thought until I talked with him. He deals in millions of bdft and says he'd use nothing but the fluted sticks.
