I don't know about the milling minnestoaboy was talking about but it sounds logical. He's right on with the spruce thing though. Poplar is the same way. Poplar can be kinds dangerous to fell when it grows thick because the limbs just fly off when the one your felling brushes another on the way down. It sure cuts down on the work though.
Trees tend to explode in places where the sap builds (the way I understand it anyway). I can recall seeing it three times cutting pulp. Heard it happen a few times also but never seen it. It is not as dramatic as a lightning strike but non the less pretty  8)
