Another T&G question

Ive been reading a lot of old post about T&G. Got a lot of good info. I have a specific question I thought Id run by you guys. I need to install a ceiling in my parents house. My cypress is finally dry, cut into 5.5" by random lengths. The ceiling is about 300 sq/ft. I want to cut v-panel T&G. I have a festool router w/ table and feeder. The router says 3.5hp. Will this work? I dont have the money to buy a shaper right now. I could afford a smaller one but I want to save for a larger one. Thanks

A 3.5 hp router should definitely be able to handle it, but it's not often that you find a Festool router installed in a router table.  The PC7518 is the router of choice for most router tables, and if I recall it is 3.25 hp. 

Which model Festool do you have?

Ive never seen a router table made for it but I have a "custom" table that I would use.

I have made several thousand feet using just my makita 3 1/4 HP router in a router table.  It is slow, but it will get the job done for a project.
