I can't believe I got this to work. I have more pics. of this table but it took me so long to whack this one up I'll have to do it later.
Thought you'd like to see this. My sister-in-law got this from her father, an artist. He traded it for some art work some 20 years ago.

I do have more photo's. It took me an hour to get just the one on the forum. I may send them to the boss and let HIM do it. It's a tad bit much for a hick like myseff. :o

Very nice Gus. Maybe that'll bring out the arteeest in the rest of us. You got to send bigger and more photos though. These 20 power glasses get pretty heavy if'n you wear them for long.

Great looking table Gus .  Hang in there with the  pics it gets easier . I have  suceeded posting them so I know any one can do it . If I screw up after uploading  I'm able to go find them and attach them to the post .  8)    I 've even gotten faster and better at getting them ready to post .  So keep it up and you'll be a wiz in no time .

Very nice tabel, Gus.  At the first glance, it almost looks like a beach front, wind swept shore pin.   Someone sure has a nice eye of balance and symetry. ;D

Got em that time.

Patty, when I make a table I just use a few 3 inch hot dipped screws on an angle from underneath. It only has to be secure enough to pick the table up to move.

Thanks Jeff. I was making it way too hard.  ::)  I had in mind a sliding dove tail joint. Actually two of them, not necessarily intersecting, but I figured two would make it all more stable. My base is one solid piece tho, not several roots like is shown in the photo. The base I want to use is still drying, it is so heavy right now I can barely lift it. Me thinks I need a new plan, new base, or both. The tops I have are nice tho, I finished some walnut slabs of crotch wood, they are  beautiful.

Thanks Jeff ;D you're my hero today   :)
Patty, I looked that table over pretty good. I think the base is one piece. It is attached like Jeff said, One screw on each leg.
