Does anyone have an idea where I can find a flywheel ( pulley ) for a otherwise perfectly good Poulan 245A ? or maybe someone has an old saw near the Phila area that I could buy for the parts ???
Thanks
Bill
PS  This is a trick question since I've already tried many local stores, Google, eBay, etc etc

I'm not familiar with older Poulans, but maybe the flywheel is the same on some other Poulans that are more available.  Also keep in mind many companies sold relabelled Poulans, so your saw might available disguised as a Craftsman, etc.  Sometimes Chain Saw Collectors Corner, Mike Acres site,  acresinternet.com, will list the other brands for relabelled Poulans.

One of the serious collectors around here might have a better answer.  Good luck!

Thanks to all for the replies and suggestions - off to eBay to check out the  "parts saw".

FWIW - I bought this saw new in the late 70's early 80's when I heated with a woodstove. Over the years I used a smaller Poulan ( 2.0 CID I believe and long ago dead of old age ) for most work and only called out the big guns when there was big wood. Mostly it was on semi retirement for about 20 years while I held an office job. Well I'm back in the field(s) again and would like to get the old 245a out of retirement .  - Again thanks.

Update -

The ebay parts saw was really just barely a parts saw. It did have a flywheel pulley that was not too "garred" up to salvage  so  tonight after dinner and
after the rebuilt flywheel ( some parts from mine and the parts saw ) and a new gas line she fired up just fine. Did I mention the full metal case and handles and the lack of any vibration reduction anything ? Put together so simply that I didn't even miss not having a manual - it just wasn't complicated . Well when you gun it you not only feel the 4.5 ( around 75 cc I believe ) cubic inches twisting the saw in your hands but the buzzing through the handles is like a mini massage for your palms and fingers :-) which means I'm looking forward to sunrise and the storm downed tree thats been looking at me for three months. I happened to check out an Echo 50 cc with a 18" bar - $ 380 while I was getting the gas line. Ouch ! I'd have to ask great grandpa if I could have the old two man saw sharpened before the heat gets turned on . The instructions inside the air cleaner of mine calls for 24:1 oil mix. I used a Homelite synthetic ( rated for 50:1 for new engines I believe ) in a 24:1 mix. No smoke ??? If there's no smoke how will I know its running ? In the "old" days I would generate huge clouds of smoke with the old fossil based oil. Is there something I'm missing - besides the smoke ?
