Hello Everyone:

Does anyone know of any manufacturers making verticle band mills that would utilize 1-1/2" bands?  I am looking at the fact of sawing bymyself and with some recent arm injuries, i am finding it difficult to pull all of the boards off the top pf the LT40 by myself.  I remember sawing on an old woodland pro many years ago and that worked well but wondered if someone was making something simlar these days?  I have been looking with minimal success.  Any thoughts or ideas?

Hi.

In your country, there's something which i thought was cool. Between vertical and horizontal. The sanborn auto saw min max 636.

Otherwise, in Europe, i know plenty of makers of stationary vertical bandmill. But expensive, most are betwnn 4 to 6 inch blades. I bet there is some too in your country.

Grizzly use to have a big resaw which could may be have fitted the bill, was a hitachi, or some japanese brand iirc.

Axminster in uk, had a resaw wich was kind of beefy.

It's a rebrand, so you might find the same under another badge in the states.

Actualy, found it there too.

The 800 could be adapted to your needs.

Sanborn did make some BIG saws, like the so called mini max 636. Probably out of most home owners price range. I see they are making small band saw mills now. I say small, they are small compared to what they use to sell. Every show I ever saw them at years ago, was some big saw geared more towards a business than a weekend sawer.

Thanks York.  I believe this is what I am looking for.  I see that you are only about an hour from my place.  Small world I guess.

Thanks again.
